Operating WordPress does not mean only creating posts and pages and filling them with content. The system has a whole series of settings that you need to know at least in their principles.
To make the learning time clear according to your potential skills I divide WordPress skills into three levels. You can easily choose which WordPress you want to learn and use at your level. This will make it a little bit easier for you.

The group of general users includes all those people who know how to use WordPress for personal purposes, be it as their small hobby website or as a personal blog
As a general user, there is some need
These include:
WordPress makes it very easy for you to implement all of this and the menus in the administration area are relatively straightforward and many of the functions are almost self-explanatory.
With a good tutorial, you can usually learn all of this knowledge in only 8 to 10 hours.
This means professional users would like to use WordPress more for professional purposes. It is not only about time but also about using it to make money from the website or to attract new customers.
Accordingly, the need to understand the system is also more important. As a professional user you not only need to know how to create posts or insert new pages,
but you should also know how to make permanent changes and set up basic on-page SEO on your website. Install and follow plugins. Keep backups of your website.
My belief for meaning professional users is that will implement most of the requirements without having to code and interfere with their themes.
Basic knowledge of HTML is good but CSS and JavaScript are not a basic requirement for this group of users.
Most of the website requirements are solved by the professional user through plugins or small code snippets from tutorials.
By the way, I will always advise you to understand at least roughly what the code you put in your WordPress website does.
When I am using WordPress, I try to understand the code of my website. When I started implementing websites with WordPress,
WordPress was a completely foreign language to me but I was slowly able to gain a lot of valuable knowledge in this area as I tried to understand what a line of code does.
You will need about four to seven months to learn the knowledge of a proper professional WordPress user.
Professional WordPress Developer is the highest level of my three levels. This is someone who has already worked extensively on various programming languages like HP and JavaScript. Someone for whom HTML and HTML are no secret.
As a professional developer, you perform tasks beyond the usual administration.
Professional WordPress developers either work full-time for an agency or (in many cases) work as freelancers who are booked by companies or agents for projects.
They usually make their living solely on WordPress development. You need to gain a lot of experience to reach this level.
You can expect to learn for about 2 years until you become comfortable with building themes, plugins, and other nuances.

I’ve tried several content management systems over the years except for WordPress which is not the system I started with for building dynamic websites.
Out of all the content management systems out there WordPad is by far the fastest to learn. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete nerd or not if you’re inclined to learn you can learn very quickly.
No, you don’t need WordPress if you know HTML and CSS. WordPress is useful for managing content and adding functionality without coding, but if you’re comfortable coding and prefer to build and maintain your site manually, you can use HTML and CSS alone.
While you can get a basic understanding of WordPress in 3 days, mastering it will take more time and practice.
It typically takes a few weeks to a few months to get comfortable with HTML and CSS, depending on the amount of time you dedicate to learning and practicing.
